A lil late but not TOO LATE here are some mid-summer season highlights:

-The winners of last season are now legit gladiators named JET and Hurricane and GOD DAMN does MiniVan look wet and HOT AS FUCK

-We basically have a new Gladiator a week and the women are getting better lookin and guys are getting more campy, especially that olympic javolin thrower

-We've had a Lou Forigno cameo along with a FULL GREEN TITAN on the joust wherest Titan has an amazing undefeated record.

-Just this week we had couples battling eachother and in both eliminators the conetstants who trailed not only won the comp but posted the fastest scores for the men and WOMEN

-They now have statistics for the gladiators in each event and of course Crush has never lost anything, and she continues to have the bestest breast on the show

-Everytime Laila Ali interviews the men she gets more angular (its hard to explain but if you watch you'll now exactly what I mean and the Hulkster continues to use his triceps to end his sentences.

-And last but DEFINITly not least, apparently ALL the Gladiators are on the Jerrod diet cuz they all have custom Subway samiches they want us to know about........if youre a hardcore GLADDY U SEE IT!!!

I'm a little mad they didn't just stick with 'Mojo' for her Gladiator name but got...DAYUM. I feel like I could watch her little intro clip on a continuous loop for hours on end. The physical transformation was pretty jarring the first time I saw her. Made me wonder what kind of Isle of Dr Moreau shit is going on behind the scenes at AGHQ. Made me wonder what Helga must have looked like before she landed this gig. My guess is she used to be a very large man.

Yes and I approve of the new direction. I like how they're doing the gimmick episodes with couples and stuff too. The scripted responses keep getting more and more awkward. I love it.

Every time Titan shows up on screen me and my wife do the Titan Thigh Jiggle in lieu of traditional applause.

That was great. I'm glad the red couple won. I think all newlywed couples should go on this show because it teaches 2 very important life lessons: Compromise and Hand-Bikes.

- Did Wolf have those teeth last season?
- Did Mayhem get fired?
- How do you feel about the new events? I like the bungee-ball thing. That looks fun.
- What's with re-capping events that took place during the commercials?
- I like the modifications they've made to the Eliminator. The ball pit adds extra incentive to stay on the handbike. And that see-saw thing right before the Travellator? Mark my words, before this season is over with somebody WILL die on that thing.

The responses are making a Shot @ Love look like The West Wing but the gimmick eps are essential hook to keep the viewers in the summer and avoid the monotony...whats gotten into ME!!!

The bungee one reminds of that old school event where they were bunggied up and had to jump off the pyrimiad then jump up to the three baskets to score while the glads try and impale them

I think theyre doin 6 event so that they cant put the best 4 on tv instead of just doin 4 and have em all be shitty, you know NBC always ahead of their time.

YEPP the handbike was my one beef last year cuz dropping off was the smart move, now not so much. The see saw seems like it shouldnt be that hard but some bols are strugglin. My new fav event during the eliminator is when they are runnin acrosse that spinnig beam and just bite it right into the pyrimad, I know its padded but that shit looks like it hurts.

I like most of the editions they made to the new season. It doesn't seem to be getting as much attention as the first season, hell I watched all of the first season and didn't even notice the new season had started until an episode or two in, but I think in terms of quality it has gotten better. Did you see some of the hits last week? Goddamn some of them were brutal. That new brunette Gladiator had a brutal form tackle against ol girl in blue on the Powerball. Ray Lewis woulda been proud. More of these events are suited toward big hits and people eating it, which is all good to me.

Also, did yall see the dude with one leg do the Eliminator a couple episodes ago? Damn that was wrong, but its like they made the Eliminator especially hilarious for cripples.

What's the event where the contendors run across the elevated platforms to drop balls into the baskets while gladiators swing at them on ropes and try to knock them down with their crotches? 'Crotch Dodge' I think. Anyway, old girl took a NASTY spill on that one. Got hit in midair and damn near landed in the audience.

I could have sworn ol girl was about to tear an ACL on that one. I was a bit disappointed when they first started the event but then they showed the contenders eating it and I was sold. According to wikipedia its called "Sideswipe" but "Crotch Dodge" works better for me. Whatever its called, the potential for destruction is enough on this event where I say it should be on every episode.

The one who looks like what might happen if a gamma bomb were to go off on Wisteria Lane.

Her nickname back then was 'Mojo' and her hook was that she was a soccer mom. So last season Ceej and I being the prophets that we are anticipated her returning this season as Gladiator, though our prediction that her gimmick would be pulling up to events in a minivan sadly never came to fruition.

... i just never picked up on the Mojo nickname.

Imagine what they could have had...... an all female show featuring the soccer team pick up challenge. A challenger vs. Mojo, they pull up to a soccer field (in a minivan of course)where there will be 2 co-ed soccer teams ages 5-8 and the object of the challenge is to wrangle up a their respective soccer team and get them to Galdiator stadium safe, feed and first!!!

instead of Conviction? Never understood that... she's a beast though, and hot.

Plus Crush is a lot easier for fans to marker on signs

and distribute them out to the members of the studio audience who are there fulfilling their community service hours

Last season, I spent 2 days at work making a scoring spreadsheet for an American Gladiators Fantasy League (never took off).

I was just so pumped that it was back that I caught every episode last season, but this season I just haven't been tuning in at all.

I do love the tweaks to the Eliminator, and the one-legged dude playing Powerball was one of the funniest/saddest things I've ever seen. The gladiators just double-teamed the other contender the whole time, instead of switching it up, and he was so clearly pissed. "Just cause that asshole's got one leg, I have to get my head squeezed between Titan's thighs for 3 minutes?"

Big dude in the blue just lowered his shoulder and trucked over Wolf on Powerball. Knocked off Toa on the Joust too. Overall a strong showing for him.

Did anyone see the previews for next week? I think Yoko is pushing AARP status.

I like when the guy in blue said he was inspired by his brother's battle with cancer, and then Timinator one-upped him with a TOTALLY INTENSE tale of how his parents once rode really far on a bicycle that one time. Shit, I knew it was over for lil' boy blue right then and there. Suck it, cancer story!

Like, for sure I was sure he was gonna have one of his Dolphin-maniacs come up from under him (no homo) during the underwater swim on the eliminator and carry him though. But once the Timinator caught right up to him on the swim under the firey water, I knew it was over.

Finally the return of Atlasphere for all our Gladiator-maniacs! It's been too long since humans were turned into hamsters on national television.

And a new gladiator, Beast! That white bol is huge (no homo). He stands way too upright on the Joust but it was funny seeing him disperse of these tiny contenders in two swings anyway.

And as expected, the Timanator and Abby the Newlywed (she needs a name) blaze through the Eliminator at even faster rates than before.
