But for the people who like to compare, know this: 30 Rock was MUCH funnier than The Office last night. Word to Tina. Be mad.

Oh my God
She's so hot
She's so flippin' hot
She's like a curry
I wanna tell her how hot she is
But she'll think I'm being sexist
She's so hot, she's makin' me sexist

370242, I'm waiting for the "Best Ep of the Season" brigade to show up.
Posted by disco dj, Fri May-09-08 08:21 AM
because aside from Andy taking a header in the sand trap, I'm kinda indifferent.

although, Michael watching Jim and Pam kiss was where hilarity did in fact ensue.

"Yeah...kiss her....kiss her good..."
370243, CLASSIC MOMENT.

no argument there.

30 Rock was the only bright spot in my Thursday schedule.

370412, You pretty much nailed the funniest parts of that episode
Posted by nipsey, Fri May-09-08 06:17 PM
Andy into the sand trap "Shortcut!"
Michael telling Jim to "Kiss her good"
and
Kelly "You look like Barack Obama. Doesn't he look like Barack Obama? I'm dating Barack Obama!"

Everything else was meh

Too many seperate storylines, and none of them were all that good. Creed calling Angela to "ditch this bitch" was classic though.

370248, Michael's assholishness to strangers is really starting to rub me wrong.
Posted by Frank Longo, Fri May-09-08 08:35 AM
I got some good laughs in... but the way he did that kid? The kicking of the basketball? I mean, it's all a bit much.
370255, exactly, he isn't even funny now. He's just a jag.
Posted by disco dj, Fri May-09-08 08:45 AM
same with Dwight.

At first he was just harmless, but now he's a tool.

370535, yeah
Posted by AZ, Sat May-10-08 04:03 PM
even though michael has always been a jackass, he also usually redeemed himself in one way or another. now he's just an ass.

it's kind of parallel to the degression of homer simpson.
370301, The shit with Pam was WAAAAAAAY too much
Posted by ErnestLee, Fri May-09-08 10:49 AM
Office Hottie? Ok. Callin her a slut and saying she'll "do you". Uhhhm. No. That's more David Brent than Michael Scott.
370251, Blah episode...next season needs to be the last...
Posted by earthseed, Fri May-09-08 08:39 AM
someone in my office said that they think that Pam is going to say no to Jim because of wanting to move to either NY or Philly for graphic arts.

I don't see that happening though.
370256, actually, that makes a LOT of sense...I'd agree with that...

370258, I think that she will have hesitations, but it's possible that they
Posted by earthseed, Fri May-09-08 08:50 AM
could move together.

I don't see Jim losing Pam again.
370263, he should go yo NY to kick Ryan's ass anyway...
Posted by disco dj, Fri May-09-08 08:59 AM
.
370265, Hell he MIGHT could take his job. I mean, Ryan is on drugs...
Posted by earthseed, Fri May-09-08 09:02 AM
Maybe someone will find out and Jim's latest winning over that client will garner him the ability to take his position, lol...

wishful thinking.
370273, Jim and Creed are my favorite Characters. Hands down...
Posted by disco dj, Fri May-09-08 09:08 AM
the part when Jim saw Andy struggling with the beer and didn't help him?

Hilarious.
370274, Next season definitely won't be the last.
Posted by Frank Longo, Fri May-09-08 09:09 AM
We're gonna see The Office as long as Steve Carell wants to be on it. And he hasn't expressed any interest in leaving it yet, sooooo...

I mean, they're even making a spinoff. NBC's gonna keep The Office as long as it's hot.
370289, ???

Pam's character needs to be slapped.

Peace,

370366, LMAO! She's a fast learner. That's was hilarious.

370379, That dude's a liar
Posted by cereffusion, Fri May-09-08 04:12 PM
Why would she need after effects for basic old graphic design?
370398, you know, I was thinking the exact same thing
Posted by buckshot defunct, Fri May-09-08 05:11 PM
but designers are notorious assholes and he was probably just messing with her head

either that or I need to step my resume game up
370400, didnt she do a little graphic design earlier
Posted by THRILLHOUSE, Fri May-09-08 05:19 PM
in the Dunder Miflin commercial episode? Or did she just do a regular drawing for that?
370852, she did the 'mock up' for ryan too, lol.

370259, "I've been done my work for months"

370266, lol. That was funny. Creed is insane.
Posted by earthseed, Fri May-09-08 09:02 AM

370267, Creed never fails to bring it, even in the lamer eps
Posted by ErnestLee, Fri May-09-08 09:03 AM
370275, "Yeah, kiss her. Kiss her hard." (c) Michael Scott.
Posted by Marbles, Fri May-09-08 09:12 AM

Peace,

370287, Michael Scott's theme song should be Microphone Fiend
Posted by buckshot defunct, Fri May-09-08 10:20 AM
You notice he can't go ANYWHERE that has a PA system without spitting an awkward 16.

Michael's assholishness to the kid wasn't completely out of character, but it did cross a boundary into cartoon territory. A bit extra.

Creed had the best line of the night (big surprise), but don't sleep on "Doesn't he look like Barak Obama?"
370336, IMO...it was the worst ep. of the season.
Posted by BigSlickMick, Fri May-09-08 01:20 PM
the only thing i really found funny was michael's comment when jim and pam were making out. everything else was just too outlandish for me.

i'm disappointed they haven't addressed ryan's drug problem or toby making a move on pam yet. i thought they would run w/ those storylines.
370380, RE: IMO...it was the worst ep. of the season.

I'm pretty sure they'll touch on both in the last hour ep, especially considering they showed a glimpse of Toby packing his shit up and Michael standing behind throwing something around his neck.

and I don't think she's going to leave Jim, but maybe Jim gets promoted...
370413, Only three genuinely funny moments
Posted by nipsey, Fri May-09-08 06:19 PM
Andy into the sand trap "Shortcut!"
Michael telling Jim to "Kiss her good"
and
Kelly "You look like Barack Obama. Doesn't he look like Barack Obama? I'm dating Barack Obama!"

Everything else was meh.

Also, for the second week in a row, they didn't address Toby moving to Costa Rica. That's some shullbit! I wanted them to say something about it. For the second week in a row, it was a lackluster episode. It looks to me that Mindy Kaling penned episode, "Night Out" was the best one of the post-strike episodes. We'll see what they do next week.

370436, Michael is becoming like Dwight
Posted by Calico, Fri May-09-08 11:11 PM
....in the fact that he's such an ass and SO over the top i only can stand him in small doses.....i was almost done wit him till he said something like "now i'd never tell her (pam) this, but she great artist", and Oscar's reaction sealed the funny for me...otherwise, Andy's crash was THE funniest thing to happen the whole show...30 Rock won...

Haha

Michael: "I'd never say this to her face, but she's a wonderful person and a really talented artist"

Oscar: "Why wouldn't you say that to her face?!"
370453, Everybody's sleepin' on the 2 best lines
Posted by dotcomse, Sat May-10-08 02:47 AM
Michael: "Why are you dressed like that?"
Darryl: "Like what?"
Michael: "Like you're... applying for a loan?"
Dwight: "Maybe he's going to church. Or a court."
Darryl: "Figured I'd look presentable. You... went a different way."

...

Michael: "Darryl will hire some kids for the warehouse. We don't have to worry about internships for them, 'cause they definitely ain't going to college."
Darryl: "What college did you go to Michael?"
Michael: "...Let's go!"
370847, ^^^^^^^

370697, Ed Helms has become the must watch character this season
Posted by will_5198, Sun May-11-08 01:44 PM
I've liked him ever since S3, but he continually kills it every time

I think Pam wants to be an artist/illustrator -- not a graphic artist

Michael is crossing his character's boundaries again; it's one thing to be ignorant and offensive to Darryl or Oscar, because they realize how much of an idiot he is and don't take it personally (most times)

but Michael picking on outsiders channels too much of that David Brent energy

and I loved Brent, but that's not Michael -- the writers need to keep both bosses separate, or else fall into the trap of being a BBC Office lite instead of its own show

but I'm still laughing a lot
370796, I'll say it too, Andy into the sandtrap was hilarious
Posted by Ceej, Sun May-11-08 10:25 PM
JIm on the golf course........ehhh

Michael callin Pam a whore??.......ridiculous and uncalled for

Pam not having graphic design skills is kinda funny

Creed having been done with his work for months made me laugh as well
370839, See, though, the Pam thing at the end was bullshit
Posted by magilla vanilla, Mon May-12-08 07:21 AM
because she did the animation for the commercial, which sure as shit couldn't have been done in MS Paint.

The writers need to check their shit, especially on important details like that.

Please no more spin off's of UK shows (and vise versa) I watched this program expecting to laugh but I found all the subtle comedy found in the UK version gone replaced by a show full of people trying to annoy each other.

Needless to say it hurt..
370968, go back to England, ya limey bastard
Posted by tappenzee, Mon May-12-08 01:56 PM
.... eh just kidding

But seriously, if you start at the beginning of the US version of the show and watch how it comes into its own, you can appreciate its American flavor more
