I say that because the film is just too flawed to recommend people drop 12 bucks on in the theater but also because the premise is just too interesting to miss. Also, Jean Claude Van Damme gives a GREAT performance. He's captivating.
I really wish a studio would buy this and give it to Charlie Kaufman to rewrite because there's an AMAZING film in here waiting to come out. As it was, it was intriguing but mediocre.
Also, half of the stuff from the initial trailer isn't in it. The coke shot and everything of him in the club is out.

You're supposed to sympathize with his character and you'd never be able to do that if those scenes of him in the club where in there. Hard to say a guy deserves to get custody of his kid when he's doing blow and getting into fights in Bulgaria.

it was entertaining, but there was definitely something greater that could have been sculpted out of the slower parts
JCVD ran with it tho -- it's worth the time just to see him in this element
and the beginning action sequence was absolutely great (better than anything in his actual movies)

I thought is was a solid film and entertaining.
The best film he has been a part of in probably a decade and a half.
He was acting his ass off and the opening scene was superb!
Like the lil verbal exchanges about John Woo and Steven Siegal.
Yeah, some things were not full developed, but this is a damn Van-Damme film were talking about.

The opening steadicam action sequence was cool. The look and the feel of it was good. Well paced and edited and Jean-Claude blew me away with decent acting chops considering most I had seen him act before was playing his twin brother in Double Impact. The ending was a a little eh but I think this is in my top 10 for the year.
