322565, Just saw it again. Fan-fuckin-tastic. Posted by ZooTown74, Sat Oct-13-07 05:41 PM
For me, the 2:40 flew by; thankfully the audience was well-behaved this time around
And to me the movie's clearly a story about the end of the James Gang, not necessarily a biography about Jesse James and/or Robert Ford
In a sense, Ford's arrival ushers in the end of the James Gang. Their stories are immortalized in writing and Frank's tired of the game and gets out, leaving Jesse with a crew that is walking on eggshells around him most of the time...
For that reason I didn't think we needed to see more than one heist. We got the group dynamics from the one train heist and moved forward from there...
Performance-wise, Casey Affleck did his thing. I think I said this before, but he was more believable in this than in Gone Baby Gone
I could have done with a little less of "Psycho" Brad Pitt, but he was fine
This movie was almost Malick-esque
Really haunting, really well done ______________________________________________________________________ Clear Eyes Full Hearts Can't Lose (unless y'all don't watch)
