I've been reading some online reviews though, and for the most part they're pretty brutal.

This is a very adult show though (in more ways than one....lol), and I imagine it will have a hard time finding an audience that isn't older, married, or boo'ed up based on what I've seen from the pilot. There's little to no humor, the pace is relatively slow, and the sex scenes while graphic, also capture the real-life awkwardness/clumsiness or just regular people fuckin.

The good thing though, is that everybody knows somebody who is in at least one stage of the show's three relationships, or is perhaps in it themselves. That's why I think it has promise.

But for the most part, I enjoyed the show. Graphic sex, but still really awkward sex

But seriously, It was a decent intro to the characters. I'm interested in seeing where they will go, in terms of how each couples relationship develops. I like the idea of each couple being at a different point in the relationship ladder

They released Season 1 of it on DVD, hopefully they'll release the second season.

Good casting HBO

It was pretty good...It was nice to see a penis in primetime television (for me, not my husband)...although I hear a couple of them might've been a prothestic (sp).

But yeah, some of the comments made in the show made me flinch a little bit because they were familiar...but I'd still watch.

I know I'ma have an awkward time explaining to the fellas why I'm watching it since it is kinda depressing and unglamirous, but it seems promising so far.

Off to a good start. Some high-wire relationship acrobatics going on.

the people are way too attractive. as i watch the show i'm comparing myself to them, and i don't add up. anxiety galore. similar to my feelings about the Hill. can anybody else relate? of course not...

and their problems are what makes the show good. The old folks aren't wrinkly enough for you? lol

because it does look interesting but after spending most of the summer in a pretty brutal, pro-longed breakup, some of the stuff just hit a bit too close to find any enjoyment, maybe when it hits re-runs.

they always get the benefit of the doubt with me. I haven't seen it yet but I will eventually.

And the dude with the kids might have some reason for not wanting to smash, we don't know yet.

There seem to be a lot of secrets that all of the people in this show keep.

and HBO can really do no wrong in my eyes. I expect this show to pick the pace up quickly. It would've been nice to see some color on the show, but oh well. And all the beans and franks wasn't as shocking as seeing (SPOILER BELOW)

I'll watch the second ep. Like others have said, its pretty real for a TV show, obviously the writers have been caught up in some of these situations before, because someshit is just too real. lol

The Mrs. was cringing during the BJ scene with the elderly folks, she couldn't even watch, I was dying the whole time at how awkward she was.

i think that(much like real life) all these dudes that look like dumbasses might be proven to be douchebags motivated by logic. The frankness of the sex caught me off guard. Like did they really fake the cum shot on the hand job?

The pilot was pretty good for getting character templates out and leaving hope for some nuance. Theres something deep with the married couple, i think the husband might be gay. And the young engaged couple have good tension/chemistry. The actor plays the role of the average guy thats scared of commitment pretty naturally,

some of the dialogue, and the sex scenes looked like amateur porn.

Not my cup of tea, but I'll give it about two more episodes.

HBO has scrapped plans for a second season of drama "Tell Me You Love Me."

Series creator/exec producer Cynthia Mort said in statement issued Friday afternoon that she and others were "unable to find the direction of the show for the second season," noting "the considerable amount of time" that has passed since its first 10-seg season bowed last September.

Show that examined the lives of three couples undergoing counseling raised eyebrows for its steamy sexual content, though it was not a ratings-grabber for HBO. HBO picked up "Tell Me" for a second season last October after just four airings, but the show from HBO Entertainment and Pariah had yet to resume production.

HBO programming prexy Michael Lombardo stressed that the feevee outlet intended to stay in biz with Mort.

"We really feel Cynthia has an important voice that belongs on HBO and we look forward to the next show she will create for us," he said.

"Tell Me's" ensemble included Jane Alexander, Michelle Borth, Ally Walker, Tim DeKay, Adam Scott and Sonya Walger.
