That shit was funny as hell for about the 1st hour then it just went bat shit insane. I've haven't laughed that hard in a while.

we see action movie parodies all the time...none of it felt very fresh.
and Shawn of the Dead is actually a good movie beyond just being a parody...the story in Hot Fuzz was pointless. i only chuckled a couple times.

not saying it was a good movie, but, still...
the 'Starsky and Hutch' movie, 'Team America: World Police', 'Naked Gun' to a certain extent, the 'Sabatoge' video by the beastie boys, a shit ton of skits on MadTV and SNL...
i dunno, i just don't think completely copying a shot from an existing movie is funny. like, i get that the revolving camera shot is a Michael Bay trademark, but is recreating that shot really funny? or staging a shoot-out with old people...it just didn't work for me.

Great movie. Bought it on Tuesday. I have to watch it again though. I spent most of the movie working on my stats problems and talking on the phone.

I saw it in the theatres and me and my girlfriend were dieing with laughter. My bro and his wife didn't like it all, so I don't consider their opinions in movies anymore.
When Simon Pegg says "Shit just got real" towards the end, it was worth the price of admission.

I was really enjoying the movie, and once it took that turn I loved it. Really one of my favorite movies I've seen in the past year or so.
