And this was right as I was swearing off sci-fi pretty much altogether because I had gotten sick of it in high school, came to see how lame and trite lots of it is. So I'm like fine I'll try this one, people tell me it's smart.

Then we get fucking attack of the machines all over with some pseudo-philosophical mumbo jumbo. God it sucked. I liked the action, but I wanted to smack everyone who ever praised the story in any fashion whatsoever.

Oh god and the romance ... be thankful you never saw the romance ...
