Exorcist or The Shining, it was not. but it was good gorey fun.

Not over the top imo.

i sort of half expected wire work and kill bill level arterial spraying, but was pleasantly surprised that they exercised some restraint. thank god there was no heavy metal soundtrack.

i mean i just didn't read into it as much as some of you did. i just took it for what it was and just tried to enjoy it. i really liked the way the vampires were portrayed. the way they were reinvented. the look. it pretty much stayed true to the comic only i think it sort of developed the characters a bit more.

nothing deep or groundbreaking, but a good watch for a horror fan.

my favorite part was the long panning aerial shot of the town.
