I have to say that I'm really glad that I saw this before the buzz got *too* loud and that I saw a screening with Hansard, Irglova & the director, John Carney, in attendance.

Carney is great, btw. Funny, articulate, a little self-deprecating. He probably says the same thing at all Q&A sessions, but I loved his rendition of how to market the film (Spoilers? Yes? No? I think not but you decide:)

HE was a hoover fixer guy.
SHE was an immigrant who didn't speak English very well.
TOGETHER they didn't do much of anything.
AND they didn't really kiss.
