Ziggy was always trying to prove himself and failing miserably. Ironically, it took Ziggy actually doing something hardcore for him to admit to himself what a joke he really was. But there was still that part of him that wanted so badly to be respected. Him wanting to note in his confession that this kid he killed begged for his life, was a whimpering attemp to solidify his legacy. It's some sad shit.
