It all seemed a little Truman show-ish to me.
Scott replaying the same walking through the city scene from the beginning, an unsettling, mistimed celebration with a purple and green, Kang-colored theme and a cake that was interestingly disgusting...
Scott's dawning terror quickly being snuffed out into an overly saccharine delusion...am I the only one thinking Kang (or other Kangs) got them in some kind of controlled reality/time loop now?..lol.
I feel like the ending could have been reshot and changed from them being stranded to the longer con of them being allowed out and placed in their own little Matrix as a different form of control.
I admit falling into theory rabbit holes is most of the fun of these movies for me now.
