I mean, the nice everyman Kermit was pretty much replaced by Walter in the current continuum. He wasn't quite as jaded as he's portrayed in the first ep, but you could kind of see how he could possibly take that path. Who knows, they may delve into that as the show progresses and he may find his kind optimistic heart again. Too early to say. I thought the salami line was funny though

Now, I'm not a fan of Denise or or how he and Piggy are handled. Right now Piggy is waaaaaaaay OTT (again, something that was pointed at in the current movies) and hopefully they get into that (and possibly tone her down a bit). Denise just feels wrong at the moment, and the 'frog who likes pigs' line cheapens Kermit more than his jadedness. I mean, I"ve got it 4:1 that Piggy and Kermit make it back together at some point, but it's going to be a weird watch in the meantime
