was it supposed to be because he liked old girl or because he was missing watson? like i remember one of the things being 'show off' was that just something watson would have said in her place or was that what he would say because holmes was trying to show off for old girl. that whole thing was awkward because he was trying to impress her, but there's no way an engagement ring would have gotten past him until the end of the day.
