My problem with this record is it's the definition of one-note --- not necessarily in terms of flow but in energy. So the few first few cuts, I was like --- wow, this could be a solid album *in spite of suspect beats* ... but by track five or six, I was ready to turn it in. I'm not a KRS expert but I feel like this has been his biggest obstacle since day one: turning in a larger project with some tracks that take a breath every once and a while, lol, figuratively and literally.
