I've been incredibly fortunate to see tricot three times in Texas but I don't have much hope of seeing people like downt or Mamiko Suzuki. I recently missed Haru Nemuri due to work and also missed paranoid void right before the pandemic because they were playing some venue in town that I'd never heard of and I didn't know they were on your. Other than that, no real opportunities to see any Japanese bands, at least without flying across the country which I may have to do some time if the opportunity arises.
