I always loved the idea of Hip-Hop grandmasters but I don't know much about it. I read an article like this:

and I wonder, why isn't there more around the concept? Is it a real thing or is it just some informal stuff that Herc annoints people from time to time with? Who are the current grandmasters?
Man Hip-Hop could have something as big as the Rock & Roll hall of fame if the concept was taken seriously.

but I just Googled and Grand Master comes from the chess world
