Unless there is some theme/concept that separates the particular album from others that makes it unique and you are going to revisit it, there's no reason to make your album a sequel other than to just capitalize on the name recognition/value of the original.
The other exception is if it's a single producer album. I don't mind Nas calling his new album KD2 or Curren$y naming his Ski Beatz produced albums Pilot Talk X.
