I think they're different enough that comparing them much starts to fall short. What makes Rose so good, imo, is how tight and concise it is. I don't think there's anything on that album I would change, either song-by-song or as a whole.

What makes Mother so good is the opposite: its very open and sprawling and has an almost searching quality to it. It's a totally different energy for me than Rose.

They're both out-of-this-world records for me, both doing very different things very well.
