he was an icon and with his unique persona,
he put the fun in funk, at least for hip hop.

But besides this crazy character he was instrumental in the early stages of so many huge careers.. Rakim, Kane, Wu, and the list goes on
This man was a force in Hip Hop Culture!

He made classic Hip Hop records, he was a legendary DJ and digger, he was a martyr for the art of sampling, he nurtured and connected some of the biggest talents.

This is a huge loss...
