3031437, Swap Out Wu-Members for Wu-Affiliates Posted by Anonymous, Sun Mar-28-21 08:33 AM
As many as you want...
I don’t know, a random ass U-God interview came on my feed and he was complaining about RZA putting out “wack shit” before core members and proceeded to name Killarmy and Sunz Of Man.
On one hand, I feel him. Deck, Masta Killa and he didn’t get the same treatment. On the other hand, Deck should be the only one upset and I never heard him or Masta Killa complain about how shit happened.
Also, only 3 members had solo songs on Forever and the most consistently hated song on the entire album was Black Shampoo *shrugs*
So if you could swap some of the “wack MCs” that he’s talking about for any of the core members, who would be in and who would be out?
On a side note; didn’t Shyheim drop the first Wu solo album? Obviously RZA and GZA had albums out before 36 Chambers and obviously Shyheim was not a core member or even on 36 but he is reppin Wu all over his debut LOL.

As long as we would still have U-God's verses for Chessboxin', Triumph, and Heaterz, I'd replace him with Street Life

3031439, Sure...they can still feature Posted by Anonymous, Sun Mar-28-21 09:00 AM
Lol
I’d even add his verse on Knuckleheadz

3031440, I would take Sunz of Man and Killa Sin Posted by herbiehowsermc, Sun Mar-28-21 09:25 AM
over U-God, Cappadonna and Masta Killa two times out of three.
It's still such a shame that RZA couldn't or didn't want to put out a solo album for all 9 Wu members (including himself!) during that era. I liked the Cappadonna album but I would have rather had a Deck album. It was still an incredible run though. I guess the flood really made things worse.

3031441, Killa Sin and Killah Priest are waaaaay better than U-God lol Posted by Anonymous, Sun Mar-28-21 10:00 AM
Still trying to figure out change I’d make.
La The Darkman is dope too but he just may be too young to include since he was like 18 when he released his album in 98.
That would make him 13 when 36 Chambers dropped.

3031459, U god works best in small doses/in a group Posted by Adwhizz, Mon Mar-29-21 03:05 PM
I bought Redemption when it came out and I can't bring myself to sit through that whole thing

3033000, Kind of off topic, didn't want to create a new thread Posted by topaz, Wed Jun-16-21 08:56 PM
I noticed the Bronze Nazareth/Recognize Ali album has the 'W' logo on the back cover, thought it was cool to still see this in 2021. The album itself is dope too.

3033003, Mannnn... Posted by spitfire, Thu Jun-17-21 05:06 AM
Hell Razah, Timbo King, Killah Priest, Killa Sin and Shabazz the Disciple could have all been generals. Theoretically I'd trady any of them for U-God or Masta Killa (If we can keep their classic verses), but who knows what it would do for the group balance...

3033024, Swap 60 Second Assassin for Masta Killa Posted by OKdamn, Fri Jun-18-21 03:05 PM
And I like Masta Killa. No Said Date is great. But yeah..
U God got too many heat verses to get rid of him
Knuckleheadz Heaterz Black Jesus ...
I can't think of any songs where MK took over like that..
60 Sec has personality..those other guys in SOM are good but they'd be boring in WTC
Killarmy is perfect for Killarmy
The rest of those dudes (North Star, Black Knights) are good in the groups they're in but wouldn't sound right in Wu

I drop U-God, MK, and Cap down to affiliate status (possibly throw them into a group) and replace them with...
...no one.
I'd rather just have RZA, GZA, Dirty, Deck, Rae, Ghost, and Meth. Oh, and I'd have the flood never happen and Deck come out before Forever.
That's it.

3033137, Heist Of The Century is so fucking dope Posted by Anonymous, Fri Jun-25-21 02:20 PM
Along with Heavy Mental… probably my two favorite wu-affiliate albums and I hold them in high regard next to the early solos.
