The only good thing I can say about RPM is that it put an even greater spotlight on just how perfect Train of Thought was and is haha.

It's hard to recreate that type of magic, so it's kind of unfair to try and compare the two honestly. RPM has a couple really good songs but the chemistry they had on ToT was so clearly long gone, you could feel its absence. They shouldn't have even tried, they were doomed before they started recording.

The sad part is that it was mostly the production that let me down on RPM; Kweli was spitting his ass off. Dre ruined Hi Tek IMO. After he started working w/Dre his beats became so sparse and had too much empty space. His strength early in his career was making busy, hardhitting beats that still had rhythm and groove. The production on RPM was so flat in comparison IMO.
