holds up imo. i think his works with clams casino will be the songs that stand the test of time

b's legacy is tough to nail down. he had the gucci and wayne work ethic and prolificacy without their talent and skill. definitely a volume shooter that kind of couldn't shoot. however he was on the indie soundcloud/youtube wave way before anyone else and had a keen understanding of branding that most of his peers didn't. there is an assertion floating out there that lil b broke rap so it could be re-molded by the new generation. i tend to agree with it but i don't think it was purposeful on b's part. he seems to have had contrarian streak to him and a genuine bravery (remember he released an album called /i'm gay/ in 2011!) plus a sincere gives-no-fucks punk-ish attitude that a lot of younger artists seem to have been inspired by. i think a lot of the weirder and experimental hip hop floating around right now in all circles (indie, major, lyrical, conscious, street, etc.) can be directly traced back to b. imo he's an extremely important figure in hip hop for the above reasons but he'll mostly be judged by traditionalists solely on the poor quality of his then-ceaseless output
