3017368, Kanye biting/inspired by Madlib Posted by Vik_Vaughn, Mon Jul-01-19 07:47 AM
I read in an article Madlib saying that lots of the beats on Bandana was offered to Kanye for "The Life of Pablo". Now the beat for "Education" has the same sample as Nas' "Bonjour" which Kanye made. Is it possible that Kanye heard an early form av Madlib's beat, and then made his beat? What y'all think? And on a second note, who made the best beat?
Nas - Bonjour https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yO-hzJTCtXs
Freddie Gibbs & Madlib - Education https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b7vtM2uqIHU

i hear thats what he does all the time...
thats why he has ten different writers... cuz he's basically taking one idea out of a persons beat that he heard...
wouldnt surprise me if he jacked lib or rather just found the sample source

3017372, tip did that with 'getting up' Posted by A Love Supreme, Mon Jul-01-19 09:41 AM
he probably heard 'understanding' from beat conducta 2 and decided to flip the same sample. which is totally fine.
yeah, and madlib better. madlib always better.

that was on one of dillas beattape first...
i could be mistaken

3017387, I could see that. He did "No More Parties In LA" after all Posted by Overqualified, Tue Jul-02-19 12:57 AM
Back when what became "Life Of Pablo" was originally "Swish", a boom bap return for Kanye. When I heard Bandana, I did think the R.D. Burman sample appearing on that and the Nas album was no coincidence. Ye's seems to have a bit more polish though.

Wouldn't surprise me if he bit that sample from Lib. We all know he got beats from Madlib and is inspired by him..
He also took the sample for the beat from Adam & Eve off Nasir from the Architect's Nas remixes mixtape AND the artwork for Nasir from Nowaah & the Flood & The Architect's project which dropped just weeks before Nasir

not many are filing with Lib....try to copy all they want..
flipping samples is par for the course tho...so it’s whatever.
