He hasn't performed on the Tonight Show since March and was absent from The Roots Picnic yesterday. Is everything all right? Is he still in the band?

Looks like family related stuff.

He has been very active on social media lately and replies to most of his comments. Seems to be doing okay. However, he won’t mention or acknowledge ANYTHING related to The Roots or the Tonight Show…

I hope there wasn’t a falling out. I enjoyed his stage presence and thought he brought a lot of energy to The Roots' shows. But sadly it is beginning to look as if he is no longer with the band or is at least trying to distance himself from them.

If it's personal then I'll respect that. But it's still pretty newsworthy when someone leaves the band after 15 years...

but maybe he had some family issue he was dealing with, and it took him too long to come back? and eventually, they were like "alright dude, time to come back to work." idk. I'd say you are right that there's something else to it.
