2950583, i'm loving this "late" period of Bowie's

I hadn't realized that he had sworn off interviews and, according to his producer, just wants to make albums at this point (no touring either - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Bowie#2013.E2.80.93present:_The_Next_Day_and_Blackstar).

A lot of what we are hearing feels to me like an attempt to mash up find something of a culminating sound, something that represents everything he's done over his nearly 50-year career. As such, I think it will take time to assess - here, I get giddy over another epic structure of the sort we haven't seen from him in years (long, multi-sectional, sprawling), and the lyrics have that aphoristic Bowie imprint.

And I'm pretty sure that is him on the sax - when was the last time dude played the horn on record?

Going to go back to The Next Day this morning, but I remember really liking a lot of that record when it dropped.
