acts want to be appreciated, however what does it mean in hindsight?

i ain't cared about those things in many a moon, because there was a time when you had top tier talent battling for something,etc.. or so it seemed,however i will say that Michael Jackson made it important with the way he broke down barriers at those shows,because this is the truth he was very important that a black artist could go toe to toe with white pop acts. and the white media hated him for that.
