Prince in the 80's you could argue, but what else?
and Purple Kool aid ice cream truck drivers need not apply because that don't count.

Joe and Mary Public can't name a great album from Prince or think of it post 80's, he ain't in no Miles Davis league.

Shelia E was Prince's talent scout on alot of things he had. but Prince had a sound which was happening for a while, Miles had decades and styles of change and made it work and he wasn't around to explore.

nobody buys Prince and Rap, Raggae,Dance hall, blues,Jazz,

Miles did disney out of being bored and made it work.

Prince heads love to compare him with Great artists and when you bring in the stats, jewelry and impact then its back to the purple truck
