I liked her. Especially, Don't Play With My Yo-Yo. She had an edge but didn't use her sensuality for her persona.

She kind of reminds me of Paris. Sharp politics with a tie to the streets.
2944811, I bought that first album sight unseen.

The Ice Cube endorsement helped but I remember listening to that a lot.
2944812, My favorite Yo-Yo joint (link)

2944894, I never took her seriously

not as a spitter

2944898, Nice balance of confidence, wit and skill

She reminded me of Black girls from the projects who I went to school with that were thick-skinned, street smart, outgoing and witty speakers. One of those chicks who was quick to put brothers in their place who "think with their ding-a-ling", like myself.

My favorite jams, "You Can't Play Wit My Yo Yo", IBWin Wit My Crew" & her duet with Cube.
2944903, Liked her first and third albums a lot
Posted by mrhood75, Fri Sep-18-15 10:10 AM
Probably my favorite track by her was "Dope Femininity", the b-side to "Stompin into the '90s." After that, "Westside Story" from her third album.

She was cool as a spitter. Del from Hiero wrote a good chunk of her first album, but she delivered it solid.

I remember listening to her albums (the first two) and hating it, my cousin, two of his friends, & I use to share music, if one of us bought a tape then the others would copy it, it saved me a lot of dough on wack albums, glad I never bought Yo-Yo's shits or I would've been pissed.

2944916, lol..damn

I never heard her other two tho.
I should make time to listen to those sometime soon
2945066, She sounded really good flowing. I can't really evaluate her as an artist though.

I don't know if she's Yo-Yo, or if Yo-Yo was a create a player type of thing.

Let my love slide in and never slip out
2945744, When that remix wasnt on the album, I was done

2945786, She KILLED her verse on the Dj Quik/Kurupt 2009 album.
