this was from a tape that was referenced here where the title of the tape was something like "songs I lost in my computer crash" or the like
and on the tape there was a track that heavily used Anita Bakers 'Giving you the bst that I've got' for a track titled (i think) 'for the love' or 'for the love of the game' or 'love of the game'
does this one ring a bell?
