REASON: Brokaw's new book is called A LUCKY LIFE INTERRUPTED, so while the title suggests that Brokaw considers himself a lucky man, I didn't want to be typical and suggest Tom Petty's "You Got Lucky" so I went for a song I remember from the early days of MTV, as I do from time to time. The group were British but the singer was the only American and arguably is one of the reasons why the group had some sense of soul (figuratively and literally), thus why I like this song a lot. They were somewhat a cross between Madness, English Beat, and Dexy's Midnight Runners.
