2922048, Your favorite rare Jazz tracks

Man, I was at a radio station Wednesday, and they were playing this song after I finished, just as filler music....I said WTF is this????

I know it's a million gems like this...and some may not even be rare, just lesser known.

What's some of your favorites?
2922049, BTW, I just saw that Skillz sampled it for "Ghost writer"

Duke Ellington, Max Roach, Charles Mingus - Fleurette Africaine. On par with In a Sentimental Mood, IMO

I gradually got into those Persuasive Percussion records cause they were easy to find at flea markets and thrift stores, plus they were dope material on them, then I found a few Sheffield Lab records and was hooked on library/sound records, eventually found a KPM Music joints while diggin' at my favorite vinyl spot, when I looked on discogs and found how long this label has been around and the mass amount of records they have I really knew I would never find everything on that label or others.

Like you said, diggin' for library records is a hole you will fall into and can't climb yourself out of.

2922304, man, i gave up even trying to be a completist about some of that shit

This far from being rare but it's a song that I like a lot that no one seems to know of except jazzheads.

I've always been a fan of jazz piano (especially grand piano sounds) so this was right up my ally when I found this vinyl, dope piano riffs (yep I sampled it).

trumpeter, one of the greats, life was tragically cut short by an auto accident. Did a bunch of session work and a bunch of albums with Max Roach.
Can't rate him high enough.
