It's what he does to theses beats that is amazing to me. And for all those bitching about his "homage as biting," get off that.

Joey BadA$$ was raised by parents who raised him on Hip-Hop. He's no different than the son of a jazz man whose 14-year-old son goes into playing standards and puts his spin on it although it sounds mad familiar.

Yes, Joey's style IS familiar but still his. The way he's twisting his bars and flows and even can do that crazy shit over less-than-traditional production is what makes him the champ of all champs now. I'm so glad I gave this kid a shot in the 1999 mixtape.

And weird, I loved the Summer Knights mixtape and EP.
