I agree with your point that looking down on black folk that don't like Iggy is wrong, I equally have a hard time throwing the C word at other black folk. Just seems highly judgmental to do, but that's just me, and that's for another post entirely.

Like bshelly mentioned earlier, I think a huge reason why anyone on this board, regardless of their skin color, would feel ambivalent towards Iggy is hugely generational. Her music isn't for anyone 30+, and I have no issues with that. However, I can understand if a black 'kid' or a black person in her targeted age range would have issues with the positive attention/accolades/awards she's received if they think she isn't deserving of said attention. They are the intended target audience for her craft and if she is blowing up and they don't feel her, I can get to umbrage, especially if they place stock in the accolades/awards she's received.
