Yeah, I don't know what the fuck is going on with the mixes on this album. I remember FlyLo tweeted saying this album was bounced to tape after being mixed on an SSL. I don't if he mixed solo or along with DaddyKev or whoever but the album often sounds harsh in high end, extremely muddy, and overly compressed and limited.

edit: listened to the itunes previews and the leak is definitely fucked up. itunes ones sounds way better.

the snoop track was possibly the worst song he's ever done imo. It's all over the place.

I really want him to make an album by himself. fuck leaning on all his talented jazz musician friends and singers. I'd like him to lock himself away alone (no Captain Murphy) and make something that pushes against and breaks through his limitations and habits. But, l like you said, I doubt it will happen.
