Def something have to listen to at once, only 2 or 3 songs you can single out and play out of order.
Def a 40 minute journey, highs and lows, twists and turns. Intense. I can see why he said it started out as album of just hard jazz breaks.
Was worried about the rap features but they don't stick out like a sore thumb and if the Captain Murphy character is utilized like it was here, I'd be excited for the direction that album would be going in.
FlyLo is maybe my fav artist so I'm probably biased, but this is a FANTASTIC album. The instrumental album will be a fun listen for those that don't like the vocals.
Need some more time with it to realize all the detail.
Can anyone point me in the direction of an artist, group, band making similar music today?
What albums in the past would you guys compare this to? I'd say:
Soft Machine - Thirds Herbie Hancock - Sextant
to name a few come to mind.
