Yeah but you can't really argue with Ray Charles-good list
2870685, Inclusion of PM Dawn, but no Wilson Pickett's "Hey Jude"?

Foolishness. No Wes Montgomery's "A Day In The Life"? Complete bullshit. Where's Yusef Lateef's version of "Hey Jude"?

The list seems very "on the surface", and I'm talking "pudding skin" surface.

As you'll see, this was used a few years ago for a comp on Ace called COME TOGETHER: BLACK AMERICA SINGS LENNON & McCARTNEY but I had found it on a Mercury 45 years (decades) ago.

one of the best beatles covers is the versatile impressions record with Curtis Mayfield. I just bought that record and Curtis Mayfield made the fool on the hill sound much better than the original and even yesterday. I was just blown away by Curtis voice and how he sung the fool on the hill by himself and made that song so much better and so much smoother.
