2864997, What ever happened with PA and the Dungeon Family?

They were down in the beginning. They are mentioned along with Big Rube and Goodie Mob on the first Outkast album. After that...nothing DF. Was there a fall out?

Also what does a brother have to do to get that Coolbreeze East Point's Greatest Hit album?
2865000, They was never full DF just associates

PA had the attic crew
2865010, Multiple articles and even an album cover or two listed them as DF

in the beginning. I really think they got pushed to the background by ONP because the young guys were that much fresher. I have the first PA album and rap-wise most of it is corny. They couldn't hang with Dre, Big Boi or Cee-lo.
2865073, I rememember them doing interviews saying they wasn't DF

they was attic crew..They was just cool.

I think they just wanted to do they own thing but like below they always stayed cool.
2865153, They were probably upset at how things were going and wanted to

separate themselves. They kept getting pushed to the side because their first album didn't pop but Organized Noise blew up with other projects. Ghetto Street Funk was 93, the 2nd album didn't come out until 98. You'd think at some point in between they got tired of waiting for their turn. They were pretty much forced to learn how to produce themselves.

Their Straight No Chase album from 98 had hella DF fam on it. Sleepy Brown, Big Gipp and Esperanza. Big Reese was producing most of their stuff kinda how Dre, Big Boi and Mr. DJ was producing most of Kast stuff. Organized Noize did produce a track on their My Life, Your Entertainment album from 2000 and Mello was on the Speakerboxxx LP.

their album was wack no matter how hard magazines tried to say it wasn't.
2865034, Yeah. If you were ONP you would have pushed them to the back burner

2865040, The first one.

Except for Call of Da Wild, SPCM sounds timeless. PA's first album sounds 1992 as fuck.

Call Of Da Wild may be the funkiest, hip hoppy jam on the record.

KP is an exec/DJ/producer. He EP'd the last Goodie Mob album, and has a beat or 2 on there. He found and does beats for YelaWolf.

Mello had verses on the DF album and Speakerboxxx.

Reese produced for Lloyd, but I haven't seen his name recently. I did see him in Guitar Center though.

Within the past 2 years or so, I've kicked it with all 3.
2865056, Is that the same KP that had the Ghetto Vision company?
Posted by 13Rose, Fri Jan-10-14 04:33 PM
Youngbloodz were signed to him through Laface/Arista.

I find it funny that I was the first person that played Nas for him and then he ended up A&R for one of Nas projects when he was at Sony

2865075, PA got clowned HARD when they opened for Goodie in Tha D
Posted by PoppaGeorge, Fri Jan-10-14 06:26 PM
ST Andrews Hall some time in '98 or 99. PA got ZERO love on that stage.

They threw CD's into the crowd, the crowd threw 'em back, PA dudes caught feelings.

I miss Tha D... But I'll never move back there.
