Aight...we've done a lot of polls around here and most likely we have touched on everything.
But I want to do an all-inclusive album vs album per artist post.
This post is to see which great album from artist (x) is preferred. Or at least albums from the same crew that are usually put against each other.
So, I'll start by posting the two albums in the subject line and simply place your vote by responding with the album you either think is better or like more.
And of course...this is meant to open up discussions on each album.
Feel free to add on albums to vote on.

My father bought the CD for me at Tower the day it dropped. He had to buy it for me because they had a rule of not selling parental advisory albums to anyone under 18. I'll never forget him telling me how dumb he thought that was. Then again, my father always knew what I listened to, and always supported my music taste. ATLiens always brings about good memories.

While "ATLiens" may be more of a "true" head kind of album, this is one band who benefitted from a more eclectic and playful aesthetic IMO (not that ATLiens totally lacked that but it was somewhat moody and spacey IMO)...

I *love* "Midnight..:" too but it overdoses a bit on electric piano samples; the sparse and minimal beats on "LET" is more to my liking even if I think "Midnight..:" might be a bit more consistent as a whole...

Apples and oranges with this comparison. As far as being more entertaining and exciting, I pick Rae, but GZA put on a no nonsense lyrical clinic that I had a homie actually call boring. Go figure.

"Liquid swords" is the RZA's peak as a producer IMO but while the genius is dope, his very dry and careful and precise style can't compete with the sheer intensity of the Raekwon and GFK tagteam. And the beats on "Only..." may be more primitive relatively speaking but they are also more in line with the rugged, lo-fi aesthetic of Wu's debut that I fell in love with in spite of not being as "good" as the beats on "LS"...

I don't *love* the G-funk style and the Chronic has some more beats in line with NWA @ their peak productionwise (=Efilrofzaggin") even if they are not as good. Still, the Chronic offer some respite from the laid-back funkiness...

While it's good, I tend to view "Main ingredient" the start of a certain vibe I'm not too fond of:laid-back, fender rhodes samples and a sleepy neo-soul vibe. Tribe's "Midnight..." had it too but the beats knocked.
Both those albums are WAY to long though for CL to hold the attention throughout regardless of how good the beats are; I like Cl as a rapper but he was not the type of guy to hold down 80-minute albums, neither in flow nor subject matter...

Jewels felt too smooth and polished and OC spent too much time doing braggadocio as opposed to the more personal lyrics on "Word..." which was more his strength; I was actually very disappointed when it dropped, just like "It was written". Unlike the Nas-album, this one has gotten better with time though and is good in retrospect. Still, "Word..." without a doubt

The Blueprint has slowly become one of the mos overrated albums to me.
I can't imagine anyone wanting to listen to tracks 2-5, 7, and possibly 10 or 12 in 2013.
Some could say that it's so good and has got so much attention that those songs got worn out in a good way but not to me.
Takeover, Izzo, and Girls all seem novelty to me.
Jigga and Hola were always weak.
Song Cry and Renegades I'll give you but I'm not dying to hear those or even All I Need for that matter.
That leaves me with Ruler, U Don't Know, Heart, Never Change and Mama.
5/13 isn't really classic status to me.
Reasonable Doubt on the other hand still sounds fresh and he is lyrically much better on that album.
