Kool G Rap has 0 hit records, and that is what twists a bunch of people's ideology or memory of how nasty he was mic for mic.

When people think about someone's career they go to their discography and they go to the songs they've made, but like Slaughterhouse today, that ain't G Rap's forte.

While some others, Kane, KRS, Eminem, etc. can make hit records...AND rip the mic, G Rap couldn't do both. Which has people thinking less of him, but G was and is the GOAT if you listen to what that dude did on the mic alone.

For instance, Pac has a bunch of hits, but Pac never wanted it on the M-I-C with Kool G Rap, and a bunch of idiots have Pac in their top 2.
