hey OKP fam,

i wanted to let you know that in a few days i'll be launching a kickstarter campaign for my new album, which is going to be built off the CHURCH clubnite i've been doing in LA and NYC and one-offs overseas. anyone who made it to the anniversary party in NYC late last year with ?uesto tearing up the decks knows the vibe, but if you don't, it's a jazz club mashed up with a dance party, a live remix experiment and all manner of madness. the album is going to be fun to make and i'd like to keep you all here in the loop.

once the project launches there's also going to be a new video dropped once a week - multi camera one-take solo performances by me on maschine, koass pads and grand piano. fun :)

and if you're in LA and want to see it in the flesh, tomorrow night i'll be at the bootleg theater for the 'Los Tres Marks' party - Money Mark, DJ Nu-Mark and me, all performing our own solo live sets.

party was RIDICULOUS. that kind of shit doesnt happen anywhere. it almost felt like a london thing last night. so eclectic, so random... money mark did his set jamming out on all sort of weird keyboards and a mini moog + his drummer. at one point he asked the crowd if anyone plays bass and a random got up and joined them for some trio throw down. shades of bernie worrell :)

i did my solo REMIX:LIVE set - on the fly live production remixes... flipped some classic tip, D and house vibes. .... nu mark smashed his DJ set going from cumbia to motown and everything in between, then proceeded to demolish the room with his toys set - a table full of kids toys + a handsonic and mpc... crazy 15 minutes of toy beats juggling. the three of us joined each other on stage for a finale encore - such a fresh and fun way to end a great night.

i'm really hoping the show can happen again in other cities. it's not often there's something like that for people to experience
