Eiht's flow plus the production on these albums equal classic. It's amazing just how ahead of their time they were with these albums. Them niggas was funky but in a jazzy kind of way.

Late Night Hype is a great example of what I'm talking about:

this is the closest to bullshit-free by a wide margin
2837759, Dawg, I JUST played "We Come Strapped" yesterday...

morning. I don't know...there's something about the production on that album. It just sounds really clean. I'm not a producer head like that, so I can't phrase it correctly, but you hear EVERY single individual sound so clearly...it just sounds different. It bangs, though.
2837834, Yup, DJ Slip's & The Unknown DJ's production was great

Those albums sounds like movies, they have a cinematic feel to them.
2837844, Agreed.

Eiht was an interesting and dynamic rapper, and the production they got on those first three albums was top notch. Like Gang Starr, with each release, they got better and better.

Non-related, but loved hearing Eiht on MAAD City with Kendrick.
2837846, RE: Agreed.

Co sign!

I couldn't believe just how great everything was about that song. Eiht came back like it was the early 90's all over again.
2837850, never heard any of them

I'm going do the work one day because I always loved when Eight's singles/videos came on the Box/Yo! MTV/ Rap City when I was a kid.

One of a few that I just overlooked in the 90s
2838147, DJ Slip - Unknown - Mike T - Half Ounce......GREAT production

Music To Drive By is a flawless album.

Death Threatz is that underrated gem of music.
