2822354, You afraid to say my name? Wth kinda coward ass response?

Alotta what you said is just more of that "My opinion is law" stuff, so while
you're talking about what The Lesson has become, that's an actual problem
you should be addressing.

>But you got dudes in here calling it a classic before it
>dropped. Trying to convince themselves he is the second
>coming.

And what exactly is wrong with someone liking an artist that much? Your
assumption that someone is trying to "convince themselves" that they like
it is much more problematic than people being excited about it. I'm not
telling you that you're convincing yourself NOT to like it. Let folks live without
spouting off that they're "convincing" themselves not to feel like you. Foh with this.

>Because his story, his image, is more "interesting" than say a
>guy like Kendrick.

Now you're not only assuming people are "convincing" themselves not to
share your taste, but now you're fabricating reasons WHY they're doing it.
How deep do the conspiracy theories go, fam?

>How else can you explain the love ASAP Rocky gets on here?

Not sure. I'm not a fan. But people like dude, so *shrugs*

>What's crazy is that this place was founded on artists like
>The Roots, Kweli, Mos Def, Common, etc.

>Each and every one of those artists would go wood on here if
>they debuted today.

>It's just changed.

Yeah, this is what happens in popular music and has been happening since
the beginning. Artists who were hot 15 yrs ago would rarely be the shit if
they debuted 15 yrs later.... especially in Hip Hop.

>For the most part, whatever the blogs tell these dudes to like
>they like/praise.
>
>Again, someone just said "Earl is about to drop a classic" in
>here like its sohh or the kanye boards.
>
>What type of junior high level hyperbole is that?
>
>Its a classic off image...regardless of the content.

1)I'll say it again. Earl is about to drop a classic. I believe that. It may or
may not be classic to the rest of yall... hell I might end up not even liking it,
but I think that I will from what I've heard. Be mad. Be enraged. Kick over
the Lesson podium! Long for the days of old with furious anger!!!

2)I give zero fucks about a music blog or critic's opinion. I like what I like.
I got way too much music at my disposal to be trying to get into some shit
just because some blogger said it was ill. Foh AGAIN with this shit.

3)I also don't care about no damn image. How is Earl's image even a selling
point anyway? For people who care about that, it would seem more of a
distraction, to me.... but ionno.. I don't care. I just like his rhyming.

4)The only high school shit is you being stuck in the ego stage of brain
development, unable to accept that others truly think and feel differently
than you... so much so that you'll convince yourself that they're "convincing"
themselves to like some shit. Who even has time for that?
