Last night i finally got caught up on my DVR recordings and saw two awesome documentaries.

THE HISTORY OF THE EAGLES

PAUL WILLIAMS STILL ALIVE

The funny part about these two is these two were always on constant rotation on my families stereo when I was growing up,thank goodness for AM gold stations and KOST 103.9 in LA (RIP)in the 80's . All these songs were around me growing up as a kid and I was too young to know that they had a hand in many of my favorite songs. Two that stand out

The Eagles - I Can't Tell You Why

For the life of me I always thought this was like a Carole King song, never knew this was a dude and never knew how talented every member ( past and present ) of The Eagles were, as I recognize alot of the songs they had, but didnt know that they had different singers for them ( my only knowledge of them up until now is Hotel California / Desparados / 80's Don Henley & Glenn Frey )

The Carpenters - Rainy Days and Mondays

My folks were big fans of The Carpenters and this was always jamming out in the house, alongside their other hits. I am just in awe in how many hit songs Paul Williams had written for countless artists in the 70's. My only knowledge of him in the 80's was seeing him as the funny short white guy on The Love Boat and countless other shows.
