At his peak and in his prime, he produced some of the best songs and albums of the mid 80's and early 90's of a who's who of artists. He basically created a subgenre of music with New Jack Swing in R&B. The man is a genius for that alone in my opinion.
But where does he rank among other music producers?

Teddy doesn't fit in the top level with the Quincy Jones's and the Charles Stepney's and Thom Bell's and Gamble and Huff's and Nile Rodgers's
but on the mid-level, Teddy rates a decent standing.

having a sound and having a impact is why he is high, however once he fell off he really fell off and he didn't have one artist for a long period of time to get higher
