yeah, sometimes i can't get my drum patterns to sound right on their own. when that happens i add a breakbeat to the beat.

as liveguy stated above, that extra drum layer really gave it somethin!!!

Can barely hear the kick tho, but the snare has a dope smack to it!

this was a hard sample to freak. in my opinion your beat was just a little practice run. nothing too serious. but i like the "dirtysouth2" beat at your soundcloud page. that one was jamming.

It changed up the atmosphere of the beat for the better. Those little touches really make a difference.

The pattern is old school, which I like.

The sample placement is cool, but gets repetitive in spots....

I dig the overall vibe, tho....

I don't think I realized it til listening to the other beats here, but mine does sound way more 90's with the chops and how it's ONLY samples used, no instruments. It took me a while to find drums that matched it...I had looped a diff part of the beat the first time, but couldn't make it work for shit.
