MOT's production was good quality but unexciting, a calcification of the sound that primo would basically take to his grave: fourth-bar breakdowns, 95 bpms and spliced-together hooks that lacked the catchiness of his earlier scratched hooks.

primo's work on hard 2 earn, daily operation, sun rises in the east and livin' proof is more exciting and better overall. i'd venture to say that most people who say otherwise probably loved MOT for what it represented as an alternative to the diddy era -- or weren't listening to primo in the early 90s.
