that album was bloated & boring in stretches, the success of it is largely due to it having a great lead single & then also having momentum from her status off the prior two albums plus the film role.
I can't really think of any songs that still get run aside from That's The Way Love Goes, maybe Any Time Any Place, Again was more a soundtrack song.
That might have been the commercial crescendo moment but I don't see that album looked at as being on the same level of importance as Control or Rhythm Nation.
