2692361, Northsea Jazz Festival anyone?

on paper, the festival seems like a music lover's dream. anyone here ever attended one? if so, what to expect? thinking about making that trip in a couple of months...needless to say, the lineup looks really good this year.

i also wonder how it compares to the montreal jazz festival.

have been for the past 10 or so.
It's great although sometimes the program overlaps too much.
Do note that some shows are so-called 'plus concerts' that require an extra charge.

One of the best things about the festival is the jam sessions at the Hilton afterwards, although these have been getting less and less interesting the past years. The Boogie Ball afterparties are also great, since some of the artists will come through to do DJ sets.
2692410, is it worth it to buy the 'all in' ticket

looks like the plus concerts are grouped in that ticket.

good info

There are not too many "plus"concerts this year.. Last year Prince was playing 3 nights in a row...all different setlists..

This year the only "plus" concerts are Lenny Kravitz, Pat Metheny, Melody Gardot, Joe Bonamassa and Tony Bennett..
So unless you want to see all of them, youŽll be fine with just a regular 3-day-ticket.. "Plus" concerts cost an extra € 15, 30 for Lenny..
Went there last year for the first time and absolutely loved it..
Lineup is a bit weaker this year but still very cool.. Last year's festival had so many highlights that at some point it was hard to decide where to go...
so this year might be more relaxed.. Lots of small and big stages..
Awesome city, relaxed crowd, great food and musical memories that linger on for a very long time..

it's worth it.

If not, I'd pass on that since it's pretty pricey to begin with!
