wonder if its to limit the youtube/homemade videos you'd find at a smaller show or is just paper
i read somewhere that after hob got that pitchfork rating he was getting 20k offers to perform.

you can tell that all three are trying to be most accessible and as frugal as possible at the same time. I love the Black Keys, LOVE them, but booking them as your headliner right now is as uninspired as it gets.

And probably most festivals the last few years. They put on a decent show but don't need them at every single festival. Having said that a headliner that I'm not hyped about makes for less conflicts, couldn't imagine Friday at Coachella being anymore packed than The Rapture, Mazzy Star, Explosions In the Sky, M83, The Black Angels, Refused, The Horrors & Amon Tobin all within the same 3 hours.

still probably the worst lollapalooza lineup i've ever seen

This year isn't exciting but Lolla hasn't been all that great the last few years (Last year was Coldplay, Foo Fighters & Eminem). This year at least was trying to be like every other festival happening this year, even the Black Sabbath add was what Coachella was suppose to have but Iommi's cancer diagnosis (I guess he's better now or will be by mid-summer)
