I also think it's the fact that some still care about his music


While some might say
"Prince ain't counted since 88"
The fact is
he was releasing platinum albums in the 90s

So there's actually an *argument* to be had there

and even after he wasn't
he still released a lot of music that many consider good to great

So it's like
even if you say Prince hasn't counted since the 80s
Someone else can say
"Diamonds & Pearls" , "Gold", "Damn U", "Dolphin", etc are all great songs
and not many will say that's untrue
